service light

i have a problem with the service light coming on when start moving. If i start the car and just let it idle the light will not come on its only when i start rolling. I have checked all the sensor plug and they are all plugged in but the check engine soon light is on so what could this be and how do i fix it? anyone plzz.

I believe you may have a problem with the O2 sensor, my buddy has this problem with a Z28 with headers, he has changed the O2 sensor with a Corvette one because of the heat range needed with all his mods (a shop told him that and sold him the new sensor)

May not be the problem, go get the codes pulled to see, if the light came on it should have stored a code...

Could be the infamous ECTS

doubt its the O2, since it happens when you start moving i'm guessing a transmission problem or some engine load sensor problem.

go to a GM/saturn dealership and get the codes for the SES light and airbag. kill two birds with one stone.

agreed, It was a long shot, and a problem on a very different car, but that is the problem on the camaro had the codes pulled repeatedly

While you're in there ask them about your door locks too... (three birds ) Of course if they want to charge you to look at it, I'd tackle it myself

my 92 sc has had very few problems but when i hit around 70 on the free way my service engine soon light comes on and when i slow down to around 50 its goes off and stays off.... could this be a bad speed sensor or what are other possible causes?
