Question is this a good deal?

Hey everyone,
I'm looking at a JDM motor swap for my Del Sol, I'll be going from a D16z6 to a B18c1. It comes with a lot of stuff too. It's gonna cost $4750, shipping including. Here's what comes with it:

Specifications
DOHC VTEC 4 Cyl. 16 Val.
• Year: 1993-1995
• HP: 195hp@7600 (w/ JDM Headers)
• Torque: 145 lb-ft@6200
• Redline: 8200 rpm
• Diplacement: 1797cc
• Compression Ratio: 10.6:1
• Transmission Type: Hydraulic

List Of Parts Included
• Complete Motor
- Block
- Intake Manifold
- Complete Head
- Sensors
- Exhaust Manifold
- Fuel Rail
- Injectors
- NEW Distributor
- Throttle Body
- Alternator

• New Lightweight Flywheel
• NEW Intermediate shaft
• AVID RACING Shift Linkage
• NEW Drive Shafts

• NEW Complete Gasket Kit

Mileage
Between 30 to 50 thousand miles.

Warranty
60 day warranty on the engine block and head(internals). Each engine is compression tested and results are provided with each engine. We only ship engines with positive compression results.

Does this sound like a good deal to you guys? Now, I've heard that I should get solid motor mounts for the swap, and that JDM wiring harnesses don't work with USDM vehicles. What else can you guys tell me about the swap? Also if the throttle position sensor comes in broken or cracked, will the TPS off of my D16 work, or am I gonna have to dig up a TPS off of a teg GSR?

Re: is this a good deal?

Post a link so we can see it, that description sounds good, but that price is too high, since some of it could be BS, like the JUN chipped ECU. And no way it hit 195whp and 145lbs-ft (about 20 too high) with a header. OE it's 180 at the flywheel and 128lbs-ft, headers are nice, but...no.

I hear that all Honda/Acura TPS sensors are interchangeable exept for the one off of the 4th gen 1.5 DPFI civic/crx; I assume it is because that one has throttle body injection. The problem you will run into though is that many USDM TPS sensors are rivited in -- difficult to remove, and difficult to get adjusted proplerly once they are installed in their new home.

Also -- price is too high and horsepower quoted is too high. That motor will cost way more than your car -- make sure you get a receipt for insurance reasons; just in case someone rear ends you, you want to be able to prove your car is worth more than blue book says it is.

seems like specs for a jdm itr motor,

specs seem like its a jdm itr motor, a lot of people confuse the model numbers, go look on ebay and search for b18c1 and then do one for b18c, you will see both give results for the gsr motor and the jdm itr b18c motor.

Easy mistake, but if its a gsr you are paying about 1500-2000 too much

It's not really a mistake, in Japan both the GSR (SiR-G) and ITR are stamped B18C.
