1998 4x4 oil pan emovel help..Please

I have a Hanes manual but very little information on removing an oil pan for a1998 1500 4x4. I need to remove the oil pan to check a rod bearing. Do I have to remove the front end or just jack the engine up a few inches? An help or tricks on oil pan removal would be great. Thanks Dave

I have not removed a pan from a 98 so I am not sure of any specific instructions for the 98; however, I have removed the pan from a few engines in my day. Usually, I use a cherry picker and unbolt the motor mounts. In some cases, the dist has to be removed if there are clearance issues on the firewall.
