Thumbs up Just finished: Ferrari 550 Maranello

Thanks for all the comments in the progress thread, and thanks to those who posted fixes/hints for building the model.

This one fell together like it was a Tamiya kit. Well...the interior needed attention, and Burago seats were modified to fit, and door panels too. The modifications were a breeze. The seats are much nicer than the 575 seats.

I really love the color combo...but I'm going to use a more expressive color on my 575. I saw a white/red 550 today, wow. Nice combo. Saw a Superamerica and two 550 Barchettas too. Lots of cool stuff at the dealer .

Here it is (glass isn't glued in yet, that's why it's not fully seated):

Check out the mesh...drew it w/my .001 pigment liner .

Very nicely done. I'm not crazy about the green tinted exterior, but its well executed. The interior looks really good.

Nice work Bob. Looks smooth and well done. I like the color and I am sure Will will too. Cant wait to see what you have in store for your 575.

Very nice! Did you spray any type of metalizer or Alclad on the wheels or are they straight out of the box?

Thanks, they're OOB. I normally would have painted them shiny silver, but I got lazy and the plating is very nice on this one.
