Little local hobby shop. Cleaned them out of Mclaren models. The shirt is from Autobrass and the book was a stroke of luck at a used book shop. I know of one other copy for sale but, so far, a language barrier is keeping me from obtaining it. Should have that cracked soon - a relative speaks the right language so Thanksgiving dinner will be interrupted by a request for translation help!!

Used book shop?.. Some people just don't know the value of things. But then again it's all relative eh? Good find Noddy!

THAT would be a cool shirt. The graphic looks huge. And finding a hobby shop that actually has some UT F1's is pretty rare. I've been dreaming of a shop like that, but still I don't believe I've ever even seen a 1:18 UT F1 of any kind in person.

I have recurring dream of walking into a hobby shop and finding a 1/12 F1 sitting there - perhaps all dusty and forgotten about... guess I shouldn't eat spicy food before bed...

As for the shirt it really doesn't show in the picture but the orange is actually fluorescent and pretty cool looking. It's the shirt I posted about a week or two ago from Autobrass. I actually thought that the shirt was grey - they used to have it in grey - but the one I received is white. Also got a pin of one of the Gulf cars from them but it is a let down: The roof antenna is as tall as the windshield, Bellm's name appears at the bottom as "BELLm" and the year appears as "196" Other than that it's a nice looking pin...

Not impossible - that's exactly what happened to me 2 years ago this week

I'm surprised most of the top people here don't already have that shirt. Noddy: Mine is gray.

There is another even more rare shirt at least one that I haven't even seen on ebay or a store. A friend happened to get one at a BMW club event about 10 years ago. It had the GTR script in big bold letter across the chest in a diagonal. Will have to track him down and get a pic of it.

Simon Lewis keeps turning up little tidbits of McLaren memorabilia on ebay.

I would kind of prefer the grey but the fluorescent orange really stands out on the white shirt so I'm happy with it.

Simon Lewis is a good guy - I bought some LeMans posters from him years ago.

The Ebay seller who just got over $500 for the Michael Cotton GTR book has a couple of sets of McLaren driver's suits.

I discovered a 1/43rd scale Davidoff F1 GTR in a shop in Holland about 4-5 months back and paid about $30 for it!

Re: A pretty good week for the collection...

Is this edition of the "F1 GTR" Michael Cotton book closing on eBay on Nov. 22 a German text edition?
