horsepower for my car

my car is said to have 190 HP, is this at the crank, or wheel?

my brother claims its at the wheel...but i dont think so and id like to know the correct answer please :-)

It's crank. If that's what the factory says, it's at the crank.

yeah if nissan claims ur car makes 190hp, its at the crank, u have less at the wheels, to find out how much u have at the wheels go get it dynoed

thats only on the left wheel. So you multiply that by 2, since its 2 wheel drive, you have 380HP at the crank.

Ahh i get it...makes sense...so cause the legacy is AWD and its putting out 250hp per wheel...that means my car has 1,000hp!!!!!!!

Problem with a 18 wheeler is only 8 wheels are engine driven, so 8X. Still not too bad considering 400HP X 8 = 3,200HP. So we better show alittle respect the next time we pull up next to a 18 wheeler at a red light.

also if someone mentions Brake Horse Power (BHP) that means at the crank. WHP is Wheel Horse Power.
