Good deal or bad deal?

My dealer is offering me a 05 mercury mountaineer for $30,000 with a $3,500 rebate. It has a v-6 and luxury package.
Good deal
or
Bad Deal?

Re: Good deal or bad deal?

Its an average deal rember you will loose 5000.00 off the valeue of the vehicle as soon as you leave the lot with it also you might want to ask them if they are ofering an exteneded warranty with that pkg. becouse you only get a 36/36 warranty witch is 3 yrs or 36000 miles witch ever comes first also besure to ask if it is rated for towing becouse some rental companys wont rent trailers for use with that vehicle because its the same as the Explorer and find out what other options they will give you without hiking up the price and if it has a sun roof make sure it is a factory sun roof not an after market one that was installed because if it is after market it wont be put under warranty if it malfunctions you will have to pay for the repairs. but you might want to shop around for the same vehicle w/that pkg also you might want to look at buying a demo you will get it at a mutch lower cost because it has demo miles on it and the miles wont afect the the warranty the warranty dont start until the day you drive it awy.

Email other dealers in your area and ask for a driveout quote on a comparably equipped model. That's a good way to find out if it's a good deal or not.
