Oil Light pops up when rough Idle and acceleration

Need some info on a 1996 Cavilear 2.2L and having a problem with my oil light coming up erractically and rough acceleration or stalling when the oil light icon appears. My problem is that last week i had an oil change and right after that the light still kept popping up. I would check the oil and it would seem perfectly fine. I put cardboard under the car to check for a leak and no major leak at all. Now when im driving and come to a stop and when it is time for me to go I press on the gas pedal and the oil light would pop up and my car would act like it is about to stall but dont and would be fine until again im coming up to a stop sign or crusing through a parking lot and lightly tap the gas pedal and my car would shudder and my oil light would pop up. Sometimes if im really tapping my gas pedal the car would just stall completlely and i have to put it in park and start it up again. I heard it could be the oil pump but im just want to be sure if that is possible. check engine light did pop up but gave me a diffrent code with my o2 sensor and I cleaned my Egr Valve and since then the check engine light been gone. any help would be very helpful.

Very low engine speed will cause the oil light to come on, because the pump is turning slowly. It is programmed to come on when the PCM sees 5psi or less. I bet if you fix your stalling problem, your oil light will stay off....

I'd replace the wires if your not sure if they've been changed.

yeah that seems easy enough so in your honest opinion you dont think i need to change the oil pump or nothing like that? I hope its something like chaning the wires

Nah, it's rare for an oil pump to go out.

They're designed to last the life of the engine. If an engine is rebuilt, then a new one is installed.

Ok Ive had Wires and spark plugs changed, and a new fuel fliter put on. After all that if i just tap my gas pedal the oil light icon pops up and my car shudders like it wants to shut down but dont and then the light shuts off. what could cause that?

well i had the same problem long ago and when i replaced the oil filter

it went away

im saying is just a posibility. now is a coincidence that after the oil change ur oil light comes on

thats why it seems like something done wrong in the oil change

The light was popping up before the oil change thats why i went to get one. but after the oil change my car shudders and when i tap my gas pedal the oil light pops up. It seems weird but ive replaced the both 02 sensors and the fuel filter and yet if im driving at low speeds the oil icon pops up and when i tap the gas to go my car acts like it wants to shut off. sometimes now if im doing a U turn turning the wheel left my car just stalls completely I dont know what to do could it be a fuel injection?? it hasnt been clean that i know of since i ve bought it
