Hi!
I just bought a new 2008 Jeep Liberty and I need to have a hitch installed. The reason being is that I am moving in 2 months and will need to tow a uHaul of some kind. Honestly, I probably will never tow again after this, but it will be cheaper to install a hitch and tow a uHaul instead of renting a truck or movers!! PLEASE help! I have no idea what to do, where to go, what type to buy, etc. My questions are: 1) What size uHaul is the Liberty capable of towing? I saw in the manual that the Liberty can tow around 2000 lb, but I also heard that it can tow 5000 lb ???? 2) What type of hitch should I get installed? What determines this?? 3) Do I need to get a transmission coolant installed (???I saw something like this somewhere) 4) Where do I go to purchase the hitch and/or get it installed? 5) How much should it cost me? Thank you! I am SO confused!!! |

Re: HELP! Hitch installation for 2008 Jeep Liberty
In my area U-haul has a shop and will install a hitch designed for what you are towing. They will tell you what your vehicle will handle. You also need wired for the trailer lights and brakes.
