Angry 94 cutlass ciera won't start.....

This has been an ongoing battle for a year!!! About every two or three months the car just won't start. All the bell's and whistle's come on when you turn the key over but there is no hum from the fuel pump there is no click noise either just dead silence. As if you've only got the key in the ACC position ( i think thats what its called)

So far we have replaced the starter - that worked for about a month and a half.

next the battery - again about a month and a half

then the neutral safety switch - about two months leading up to now.

oh yeah and just last month we replace the faulty thermostat

what in gods name could it be now!!!! The ignition? It runs on a DIS system - no distributor. someone please help me and my husband!! please!!!

When it does it, if you push the shifter lever more towards park, will it turn over? Or, maybe shift it to neutral and try to start it there. Possibly, shift it to D and back to park and see if it will turn over after that.

just do a double check on the wires going to the starter. Are they in good condition? Could they have come loose? Sometimes if you can just grab the harness leading to the starter and wiggle it the car will come to life. If this works then the wires need to be examined closely. Hope this helps!
