'91 S10 Blazer - Alarm install questions

I've been searching online for where to hook things up to, but thus far I'm not getting anything terribly useful, so I figured I'd ask about it here.

I've got a '91 S10 Blazer 2WD 2 door, power windows, power locks, automatic 4.3L V6

I picked up an Avital 2300 alarm system yesterday, with a proximity sensor. It has remote lock/unlock, starter kill, door and trunk sensors, dome light control, parking light control, valet, and pretty much everything else as options (remote start, remote window roll up/down, get-back-to-the-kitchen-and-bake-me-a-pie option, what have you).

I figured out how to wire up the proximity sensor, and that's set up. I got the power, ground, and ignition wires hooked up. It works as an alarm, but I wanted to wire up everything else it supports, prioritized: door/trunk sensor, door lock, parking light, dome light, starter kill.

I've already found out that mounting the main unit under the hood isn't going to work, so it needs to be relocated inside the dash somewhere. So my question is this:

Where is the best place to mount it, and where/what colors are the wires I'm looking for to wire everything up? Pictures/guides would be awesome. If you're in the denver, co area and want to help me out, I'd be willing to throw $50-$75 your way for labor.

Also, I got a haynes manual that I thought was for my truck, but it's ... not even close to accurate. Anyone know the number for the chilton's or haynes manuals so I can get the right book?

Thanks a ton!

I completely dissasembled the dash yesterday and moved everything inside the vehicle. I hooked up the door sensor and parking lights.

I dissasembled the driver side door and found that there's no way to get to the wires for the lock in there, so I followed it down to the kick panel, and the wire bundle just dissapears into the body, no way to get to it that I can find. Any suggestions?

I followed all the wires coming out of the steering wheel (there were three seperate harnesses) and disconnected them one-by-one, and then all of them, attempting to start the car. Even with all of the harnesses disconnected, the lights, heat/ac, starter, guages, horn /all/ continued to work just fine. It's like my blazer has magic gnomes that allow everything to work, and those 30 some wires did absolutely nothing. I'm trying to wire up the starter kill but can't for the life of me find the starter wire, there's nothing up there. Any help here?

There's a switch underneath the cigarette lighter to pop the rear window open, and it appears to be directly connected to the solonoid, as pushing and holding holds it, let go and it extends again. Do I need to wire up a relay off my alarm to get this working? How would I go about that?

Thanks!
