little mod weekend...

little mod weekend with one of my friends last weekend... lotsa work.. i have the silver sedan..he has the black avant..

here's a few before shots to give you an idea of what we started with:

first thing's first... gotta dismantle em:

we really didn't have the time, nor the energy to do a step by step of our mods, but here are a few production photos...
spray booth minus some plastic:

working along:

and of course the finished products. too bad it was raining that night.
For my car, we installed an OEM S4 front with moded grills. Sprayed the lower sides and rear valence.

For my buddy' car, we did a custom molded half bumper/lip and re-sprayed the rear valence.

..and last night, i threw on a lip spoiler (sorry for the crappy camera phone pic).

Re: little mod weekend...

we used a gravity feed gun with the stock color (which really didnt match)..haha.. but duplicolor makes spray paint called radiant silver...matches almost perfectly.. get some of that, some primer, and some adhesion promoter and go to town..

s4 bumpers are a hot item and tough to come by.. i got pretty lucky getting this one..

Re: little mod weekend...

yeah.... not sure you can get it new for cheaper..but definitely keep an eye out for used. they can be had for between $200 and $400 depending on what they come with..

remember..the bumper from the dealer is missing the side grilles, fogs, etc..
