I have a 2003 Yukon XL with a OEM 6 cd changer/radio/xm unit. I do not have the Y91 option. Can I install a newer OEM Navigation unit to replace the current unit? If so, does anyone know which models are compatible? Will I also need to install a seperate CD player?

There is a GM Delphi radio that is compatible with the NonLux amp trucks such as the Suburban and Yukon with the Bose NonLux amp. There are a few reputable folks selling NonLux and Lux radios and complete packages with the separate CD changer ala the Denali on ebay.
I bought mine from RadioBoy Here are the radio part numbers you need, or you can go the Lux model route with the amps and CD changer for a complete system. Non-LUX touchscreen # 10397545, 15120706 TNR Non-LUX Amp 5600 series BOSE amp LUX-Y91 touchscreen # 15230099, 10377531, and maybe 15118439 Fortunately I just had to swap out a touchscreen Nav radio for the stock unit in my YXL Denali and it was pure and simple a plug and play affair. Here is the place to go to get the info, you will see a couple of threads about Nav radios and the 6disc changer install http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?showforum=28 Good Luck! |
