A/C Question

I have a 99 Intrigue with the auto climate control. When the AC is on the drivers side blows warm, and the pass side blows cold, especally when the pass side control is set to cold, probably 10 plus degrees colder. Is this a control door issue and where can I get parts if it is?

Re: A/C Question

I've been looking in my 2002 Helm manual in the hvac systems section. They mention an Air temperature actuator - left and right. By looking at the diagram it looks as if these actuator controls both the left and right temp output by opening/closing flaps regualting air flow thru the heater core.

One suggestion.... it mentions re-calibrating the temp actuators by removing the 10 Amp HVAC fuse (ignition key off) on the fusebox at the right end of the dashboard for at least 60 seconds. It's worth a try.

By the way, has any one done any electrical repair or changed or disconnected the battery lately? Good luck and let us know what fixes this.

I have the same problem with my ac. Did you ever get yours fixed? The AC will sometimes work fine but then sometimes it will do just like you said. Driver side is hot while passenger side is cold. Let me know if you found a solution.
