cracked radiator

ok, i couldnt find anything on cracked radiators on the forums so heres i go.....

my car leaks coolant all the time, but its only when there is fluid in the overflow reservoir, so i thought a hose was cracked, but it wasnt the host, i took a closer look, theres a crack in the radiator near the top, heres some pix, i was just gonna ask if i shuld replace the radiator, or coudl it be sealed, the crack isnt too big, but it most likely will just get bigger, and i was also just wondering how much a radiator would be. thanks!

the crack is located on the passenger side, near the top of the radiator, facing the engine.

Re: cracked radiator

When I wrecked my 93 z one of the side plastic tanks broke on the bottom, I took it to a radiator shop and they put a new side tank on for $60 bucks. But if I was in your shoes I would buy a new one that way you don't have to worry about something going wrong if your on a trip.

Yes, if you go so far as to replace the radiator, replace the hoses as well. Also look at the heater hoses while you are in there and flush the cooling system too, may as well start with a nice fresh clean system for the new radiator.
