Some new pics (maybe same car?)

First off im sorry for the quality of the scans, my scanner past its best a long long time ago.

anyway i have 2 pics for you, the first one taken from a calander:

i put the plate into forum search and found this thread by mini magic, which seems to show a photo from same shoot, but different angle.

also you seemed to think it was black, and i know my pic looks black, but on the original it definatly has a hint of green...

2nd image is one you wont have:

taken by a friend of my dads, i have no idea when or where it was taken (im pretty sure its in UK). Only info is the car belonged to someone who worked for McLaren. This one also looks dark green with light interior, could they be the same car?

Enjoy the pics

"Only info is the car belonged to someone who worked for McLaren. "

Might it belong to The Man himself? (Gordon Murray)

Yeah - I was going to say "XP5" as well.

And current speculation as you might have read, has the black car in the first set of photos as #007 in a past life.

Pretty sure I know who the guy is, despite the blank expression...

Re: Some new pics (maybe same car?)

If Gordon had a silver one, could it possibly be chassis #001? I believe that was called "McLaren's own car" by Tiff in the Top Gear review of the F1.

Gordon apparently has XP3 - this was discussed some time ago. I got independent verification of this as well. I was told the car was given to him, but there may be more to that story.

Re: Some new pics (maybe same car?)

Hello Andybee, you have worked to McLaren ?

Do you know how many (and what chassis beside 011, 073 and 075) were owned by Ojjeh brothers please ?

Ciao
Phil

Re: Some new pics (maybe same car?)

Sorry to bump this up but i'm going through and re-doing all the histories i have on cars and remembered that someone on dtmpower.net did say that 007 was owned by Gordon Murray before Frank. Maybe Drew can confirm?

I recently acquired the Christies auction catalog with this car on the cover when it was first auctioned in 1998. The description doesn't make any mention of any famous owners, and I would think if ownership of the car could be credited to Murray that would be something notable to include in that text.

I can't say absolutely not, but this is the first time anyone has suggested to me that the car was owned by GM. I doubt it.
