1997 Eclipse GS
Well as my car has a blown motor, I'm getting a new one. So just seeing on interest, who would be interested in a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a 103 thousand miles on the body and transmission, and virtually no miles on the car. I just got the carpet replaced and just replaced the interior part of the passenger side door. It has some front bumper damage, which would require a new front bumper. It has 2 almost brand new 17" tires, 1 that is completely brand new and 2 that need to be replaced. The car is obviously going to be in good running condition, but it needs alignment. The front brakes were just replaced before the engine blew and it even got a new left front caliper. The only real downside to the car aside from the front bumper damage is that I will be removing my stereo unit from the car. It will come with all 4 wheels currently on it, plus the other full sized wheel as well as the donut spare.

Not really sure, I'm just kinda testing the waters to see what most people would offer. I'd guess about 5,000 since the engine is going to be more or less brand new and the carpet is going to be brand new. What would you think someone would be willing to pay for it?

I don't think anyone would pay $5,000 for a '97 N/T with 103,000 miles, even with a new motor. I was thinking you might get closer to 4k.

Re: 1997 Eclipse GS
You can get 5,000 but you might have to sit on it a bit. I'm willing to bet nobody here would pay that because well Gs's arnt in high demand around here. But if you put in on autotrader with a new motor you will get it eventually. You gotta find someone like me 2 years ago. Once they know that gs's are really just crappy wannabe but not really dsm's like mine is they don't want them anymore but back then I wanted a Eclipse so bad and I didnt know about the whole neon motor thing lol. Basically find some highschool kid and get his dad to like the fact its cheaper on insurance and has a new motor and it will get sold. peace
