Past Z Car Forum Projects: Remixed

Alright, since the last thread has a bunch of crap on it and most your projects have changed quite a bit, we'll just start over.

Car: 95 Z32 Twin Turbo

Project code name: "Various Evil ****"

Goal: Various evil ****, to include a lag free 500-550 rwhp

Drivablity date: June 2005

Completion date*: July 2005

Status: Behind original schedule, behind updated schedule, behind revised schedule, approaching 1 year mark, have given up on scheduling and am just trying to finish it

- Everything except for the 530BB turbos, inconel manifolds and test/downpipes has been purchased. The turbos and inconels will be last as they are the most expensive and can be bolted on right before dropping the engine in. I still have to put it back to together and fortunately/unfortunately I'll have plenty of time to do it.

- Various tune up work on the engine has and is being done to include: various gaskets, hoses and cleaning

- Engine is being rebuilt with stock heat coated and balanced pistons, ARP bolts all around, balanced stock rods, JWT cams and valve springs. Should be ready for pick up in a few weeks (how many times have I said that?)

- Replacement OEM shift knob remains as yet uninstalled. New floormats have been "installed", thank god. JWT ECU is in the proper place.

*Refers to the current laid plans, as more will always be found to do to your car once its "done"

Parts list (not including the many, many, many OEM parts I'm replacing as a good measure):

Upgrades that were on the car:

Z from Japan ECU (small ECU tuner company)
ACT clutch
Borla cat-back
JWT single pop

Going into the car:

JDM motor - rebuilt top to bottom
(everything has been honed, balanced,
heat-coated...etc, etc and so on)
Specialty Z inconel manifolds
Specialty Z split downpipes
Custom test pipes
JWT ECU
JWT Dual pop
JWT 400R+ cams
JWT valve/VTC springs
JWT 530BB turbos (may go another way but 530BBs for now)
RPS flywheel
Nismo 615cc injectors
Nismo Euro spec oil cooler
Honed intake plenums
Unorthodox UD crank pulley

Coming after it's driving:
GReddy Profec B
Stillen intercoolers
Koyo radiator
Brembo slotted/cross drilled rotors
Brake pad upgrade
Steel brake lines
300 Degree MC brace
Urethane bushings front to back
Sway bars
Eibach springs

1970 Datsun 240z

Purchased for $125, engine/trans/drivetrain for $175.

If I keep it, will modify suspension heavily and use it for track duty..
In process of putting head on block that is in the car, rebuilding carbs, and body work. Car is just a project to learn on.

goal: 300WHP NA

Working on multi-angle port job, porting and polishing, lightened stronger rods, and pistons, a upgraded ignition system, better intake system, complete exhaust system, headers, highflow cats or test pipes depending on where I end up, Borla catback exhaust system. And then getting a new ECU programed to the car. This should get me close to my target numbers.

driveability date: Mid 2006

What're you talking about, Ol' Timer? I'm just referring about everyone finally getting to the peak and coming down-hill. Broke is finally getting his TT together, k3 has his TT swap on the way, I have my motor and misc. parts on the way, etc., etc. It's finally coming together for alot of us. Can you see that?

Did you forget to take your pills, pops?

Trans: Custom Fit T56 Six Speed
Diff: 3.9 or 4.1 R200
LSD: NISMO Competition.
Suspension: Full Coil-Over Conversion, Cusco Strut bars, Tokico 5 ways, Sway Bars.
