1994 lumina
I have another problem now water is not circulating thru radiator and water in radiator is not getting hot have check the dip stick for water in the oil and nothing coming out the tail pipe so does anyone have an idea. Have also taken out the thermostat which helped alot but still not moving water thru the motor. Please anyone have any ideas. This is the same car with the heater core problem which was fogging the windows but not leaking into the floorboard but outside next to the firewall. Thats when the overheating problem started. Help

Re: 1994 lumina
The only time I ever saw one have no circulation through the radiator with the stat out, the impeller had come off the water pump and wasn't turning. It didn't make any unusual noise, and the pump was relatively new. Drove us crazy!

If the heater core starts leaking it will drain out through the drain hole for the ac evaporator core. Instead of onto your floorboard.
Id definately pull the water pump and see whats wrong there. Probably the impeller fell off the shaft like Jeff said. Or it may have locked up altogether. |
