1990 Chevy Lumina Starts fine but dies right away
I have a 1990 Chevy Lumina Coupe with a 3.1 V6. It was running great until last week. I put gas in it at a station I always go to. After that the car started trying to die.
I first thought it was possibly bad gas, not thinking it is. The car just got worse on my way home. I was about 15 miles from home. I replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs. Had to have the car towed home. THe car has no problem starting, sounds normal, then 5 seconds later it dies. If I keep my foot on the gas right after I start it then it stays running. Its getting fuel and spark. Any ideas? Last edited by mattfox82; 04-21-2005 at 08:35 PM. |
