93 5speed Saturn SC with the shakes!!

I have a 93 5 speed Saturn SC that has 188,000 miles on it that has the shakes when idling and especially when the air conditioner is on.. What is causing it? what can I do about it.. Also.. I notice last week that it tried running hot.. or shall I say..the temp guage started heading towards 3/4 on the guage so I turned on the air and it went back down.. and that was while being stationary.. afterwards I drove off and while driving.. I turned the air back off and it never went hot during that time.. So what are you thoughts on the problem with it.. ?? Thanks in [email protected]

Re: 93 5speed Saturn SC with the shakes!!

for the shakes, chances are you have a bad motor mount, chacnes are its the top mount. bad mounts are most noticible at low RPM at moments of high torque(starting from a stop) here is the how-to - http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24000

if the overheating, chances are your ECT has cracked, a common failure point of saturns. here is the how-to - http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24003
