That IS a stupid quesion! Haha, just kidding. If you dont know, then it would be confusing. But Ferrari owns Maserati. It goes:
Fiat (also owns Alfa Romeo) - Ferrari - Maserati In that order. Its a good question with a simple answer.

Actually, Alfa Romeo recently bought Maserati thanks to the two billion dollars that GM paid to Fiat recently. Ferrari bought Maserati in 1997.
