When I start my ‘00 Chevy Cavalier and put it in drive, the daytime headlights come on. However, when I turn on the headlights there is nothing, low or high beam. Only when I hold the lever back will the lights come on, but when released the lights go back out. Any ideas on what this problme would be?

Re: Headlight problem
sounds like its in the the light switch. may need to be replaced. does the column have tilt. try turning on the lights and going up and down with the column if it has tilt, or try to turn the switch hard. hope this helps. had the same prob with a 94 grand am and it was the switch.
