Unhappy Ticking sound could be lifter or cam???

I have a 99 Civic D16Y8. About a year ago I installed a Gude camshaft. A ticking sound is very apparent while the engine is cold or warm. One mechanic has said that it sounds like a lifter, another says that it is a bad camshaft. The car runs fine, I just want to quiet this sound. Someone also said that it might be my fuel injectors. It sounds like its coming from the block to me. Anyone else have a bad cam before? If so, were there any significant symptoms? Thanks for your help.

Justin
