about racing with a passenger(s)?

seems like some people bash some members for having children in the car and not others (as an example).

I usually ride by myself, but i had a race or two with my friend wes in the passenger seat (he is 18, as am I), but thats it. whats your take on this?

. J/K. Really, if someone is with me, I try to be very cautious about when I race, how fast I go, and whether they want to or not. Like for instance, my buddy Jonny went racing with me this weekend. He wanted me to race, because he likes it, and also he doesn't really have a car to race. I have no problem if I have their consent to race. But if they don't like it, or they get scared because of it, then no I won't race at all.

Usually though, if I am racing with someone, I think I'd only go to top of third and shut down. Like on the freeway or something. Unless they say "GO FASTER!" or "THEY'RE CATCHING UP TO US!" Then that's usually an indicator that they don't mind it. Otherwise, I don't take it any further than I should. But that's just me. Only as long as I have their permission to do so, then I will race. L8...

I usually travel alone. if I am with my wife I'll race but to a limit. for example, I wont go on the highway cause I can easily get up to 120, 130 and wouldnt want anything to go wrong.
If its in the street hell yes I'll go for it since I usually dont get up past 100 or so.
I'll never race if there is any traffic, never run a red or yellow light, never in unfamiliar neighboorhoods.
If the passenger is an idiot who gets scared of speed then even more so of a reason to race!
if he is the kind to distract me or yell at me then I'll kick them out of the car.

I never race with a passenger, even if its a good friend of mine. I wait for them to say "well are you gunna race him or not." or "hey dood go race him". None of my friends like the whole street racing thing at all. Its something i do in my off time. I am embarressed to talk to them about it cause they all go hey looks its speed racer over here. So i only race with a passenger if they ask me to. Plus my car is a lil faster with me in it. I like to race when everything is 100%

Half my freinds are all into racing, the other half arent. Those that do enjoy it, I dont think twice about it. Those who dont, I ask them if they mind if I play around with another car. If they say go ahead, I will.

Yeah about half my friends are huge into cars and racing, the other half make fun of us for obsessing over cars...Im actually suprised there are still girls in our little clique seeing as they all hate cars

The one thing tho is that we know who in our group can actually drive fast and who cant, and the people who cant dont bother racing..so I trust my friends driving if their racing somebody, and they trust me

well i normally race by myself. If my GF's in the car ill ask her first, but she always wants to. It turns her on i guess, cause after racing she always wants to have sex.

Depends.

My girl enjoys the speed. She has no problem as long as it is safe.
I don't get into many street races anymore anyways.

Most of my friends race or drive fast too, so they don't mind.

But, 98% of the time I'll just cruise. Or at most, get on it for a gear or two. Rarely anything prolonged.

Longest race I've been in was with a friend, and that was with the old motor in the Z, it spanned maybe 12 miles between three freeways. It's amazing what a girl racer can do to ya... No way was I going to let her win!

I race with passengers but I'm the only one in my little group who enjoys it.
One of my friends recently wrecked up his jeep pretty bad so now when I drive him around he'll bust my shit and yell "Rod dude aren't you going to street race that car over there!? He probably wants to race for slips! C'mon man!"
As far as having a girl in my car goes, I've been fortunate that the girls I have been with don't mind a little race. I feel lucky that I'm not down with that whole girlfriend thing at the moment because with those hook up deals you get a girl just looking to have fun which includes racing.

I race most of the time alone.There are times when I get races and I usually have a passenger there with me. Even though they give me permission, I still think twice about it because if shit does happen to the passenger just the thought of having to explain to his/her family..."Well he/she said I could race"...or...."It was her choice not mine"...or...."I didnt mean to, it was the other drivers fault"....etc. etc....I dont know about everyone's passengers and how forgiving they are...but im damn sure that family members dont give a damn either because who else is to blame but the driver right?
