Oil pan gasket.
how common is it for the oil pan bolts to losen up over time?
I was just trying to determine the source of an oil leak on my 93 civic. Thinking it was possibly the oil pan, I snugged up a few of the bolts. Three of them were rather lose. |

Re: Oil pan gasket.
you may have a bad gasket, but the bolts should have lock washers on them so they dont losen.

Re: Oil pan gasket.
clean everything with simple green, then drive your car for a bit, park it, and get under there and see exactly where the leak is, then we can tell you how to fix it.
