When is to much Boost?

I just got my 290lph fuel pump. When will the motor start to run lean? I know a lot of people say on stock fuel system stay below 14psi. I just upgraded the fuel pump can i run 14.5 and be safe? Or is this still to lean with stock injectors.

Re: When is to much Boost?

Get a datalogger and you will always know how you are running.

too much boost is when you start knocking....lol
i know that my buddy runs 17 psi on this talon with an upgraded fuel pump, but he also has water injection on that car.
i'd say, to be on the safe side, run below 16psi. If your car starts to knock at WOT, back it off a bit.

Re: When is to much Boost?

always always always run 14.5 psi or lower on stock turbos. Yes, many people will say you can run higher, but the fact of the matter is it's not good for the health of your turbos, and it's commonly known to show that most of the time anything over 15psi on stock turbos start pushing hot air.

Re: When is to much Boost?

you dont have big enough injectors or turbos for anything over 15psi.

As well I wouldn't do it without a datalogger and some A/F control
