Pikachu???
So what ever happened with Pika's CV joint issue? Did he blow the joint out or bust the half shaft? What kind of cost was involved in replacing it?

Why? Getting nervous about your AC lift?

Not really... you never know though. It would be nice to know how much a replacement costs just in case. I don't think it matters what lift you go with as the CV joints aren't a strong point and prone to breakage. I have been looking around and haven't found anyone (Nissan) who has messed up a half-shaft or CV with a lift.... except Pika.

I haven't talked with him recently, but last I heard it cost $450 for a new complete half-shaft, and then he was going to have the busted one rebuilt to keep as a spare.

I will check the price tomorrow when I'm at the dealership picking up a couple of parts.

That is absolutely ridiculous. Well... perhaps honda CV half-shafts are less money because you have to replace the damn things after every 80,000 miles Still sounds pretty assanine to me, especially since the dang things are probably the same specs as the frontier shafts. |

Without going out to the truck and looking (in class).. are the plastic bushings easily replaced without having to tear a bunch of stuff apart?

replace the bushings?
or the tie rods. Also, if anyone can get the part # I'd be interested. Think I will be checking this before the Canada trip.
