parking brake system 1998 Intrigue

I'm wondering if my daughter's 1998 Intrigue has the same type of parking brake set up as my 2002 Intrigue. On my 2002 there is a small set of brake shoes that ride inside the hub part of the rear rotors, like a Mercedes or Volvo. Anyone know?

I know on the Grand Prix the parking brake was built into the rear caliper.

My '99' has the same setup. I'm pretty sure all the Intrigues are this way.

Re: parking brake system 1998 Intrigue

I did the rear pads and rotors on my daughter's 98 Intrigue yesterday. They are insanely simple to replace. Much easier than the older GM rear brakes that had the E-brake lever on the caliper.
