2001 grand am engine swap help please.

My friend just got me a free 2005 Grand Prix GT engine and I am wondering if it is possible to fit it inside my 2001 Grand AM SE and if it is possible what other parts will I need from the 2005 Grand Prix GT.
The back of his car is completley ripped of after an accident and he told me I can have it.
Everything mechanical and interior of car is 100% like new....so if anyone got suggestions on what I can swap then please tell me

Even considerin an interior swap if possible.

Any advice is appreciated.

im guessing the motor is a 3.8 (supercharged?) well anyways, it has been done, if you search this forum you will find topics about someone doing this.

Re: 2001 grand am engine swap help please.

If it is a 3.8SC then you will need everything from the car you can get. Transmission, pcm, wiring harness, fuel pump, radiator and etc. Due to the extra power of the 3.8SC the transmission you have will not handle the power. If it is a normally aspirated 3.8 you will need everything with the possible exception of the fuel pump but changing that out is a good idea too unless you already have a V6 and then you should be alright. Good Luck!
