1990 APV tbi engine change

OK, so I got a '90 APV, and I like it a lot. I over heated the thing, now I'm blowin' huge clouds of steam out the exhaust. I'm thinkin' cracked head or block now, not just head gaskets. I like the van enough not to want to scrap it, I'll put the cash into it to fix it. EXACTLY what do I have to do to get the engine out of this thing?? Looks like I have to lower the whole power platform out of the van. Ideas?
