Help Installing my system!
Sup guys,
I'm installing my new system on Saturday, not sure how to do it, this is my first time. Basically let me tell you what I have, and then if you guys could go in detail on how to wire it. Pioneer DEH-9300 3 - JL Audio 10w-6's MB Quarts Mids, Highs, Tweets MB Quart MUSiComp Crossovers for tweets/coaxials Punch 200ix DSM - Pushing the Subs Punch 4020 DSM - Pushing everything else Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Power cap the JL Audio subs are Dual 6 ohm, so if I'm running 3 of them I believe I run 2 ohms to each. Not sure though. But anyways, if you guys could go in detail on how to wire it, starting from the battery. Like exactly where to wire in the power cap, what wires do I send to and from the amp, how do I hook up the competition crossovers. I think you guys get the idea If you don't want to type it all, you can IM me at ymerej21 It might be easier that way anyways..... Thanks in Advance 92Accord92 |

You got 3 subs? That's gonna be a funny lookin box
If you get one of those all in one kits it should come with almost everything you need (I got the biggest fosgate kit I could find, it was only short 1 ring connector and 1 large fuse). As for wiring it up, look at the paper that came with the cap to see how it should be wired, it's a pretty bad drawing but it's not too hard to figure out. Basically it goes positive on batter to cap, pos on cap to amp(s) (the big amp kit comes with 2 boxes with splitters so your power and ground can be all be split up from one set of sources) ground all amps and cap to something in your car (I used seat belt bolt) wire up amps, charge cap, good to go! |

Oh and as for exactly where in line everything goes, 1 large fuse should go less than 18 inches away from the battery (if you get the fosgate kit it is hardwired in) and one fuse between the cap and each amp. My 4 channel amp takes 2 fuses. Add up all the smaller fuses (the ones after the cap) and that's the rating for the big one by the battery. Hope that helped.
