removing motor mounts

I put the prothane motor mounts in over a year ago and Im thinking about pulling them out because of the vibrations. Do you think I will need to add a flex pipe after my header. I dont want it breaking when the motor moves.

Re: removing motor mounts

HP/TQ isn't meant to be friendly. If you can't stand the vibs, don't mod your car. If you can't handle those, i'd stay away from lowering your car aswell along with low profile tires too.. But yes your going to want some flew pipe in there so you don't break the header pipes loose from the flange.

Re: removing motor mounts

Ive already got the car lowered and have low profile tires. I dont mind the rough ride. I just dont really like the vibrations from the mounts.

Re: removing motor mounts

I've heard of some guys using dynamat to stop the rattle in the dash. Might wana try that first. Probably alot cheaper than payin someone to add flex pipe to your header.

Would you put the dynamat on the inside of the car or behind the engine
