I think i got gipped...

I just got an alarm system/remote starter installed in my car and I paid a total to $378.00 for the whole deal including installation. Here is what I got: Ungo MS2000 and Valet remote start model 551T(add-on). This piece of crap barely has a range of 25 feet. So did I get ripped off or what?

Sorta late to be asking now aint it?

Why dont you go back to the place and tell them you are unhappy with the range and looking for them to see if they can fix it for free...

yea man. I went to circuit city first to see if I could find something good and they had some viper system for $350 installed. Then I went to this other shop where they only sell stereo's and shit so I thought I could be able to find a better deal. But well, that obviously didn't happen. I'm gonna go back and complain though. You guys got any idea about what I could/should say?

Yeah, personally you got ripped off -- but you should have been asking how much things were going to cost instead of just "do what you want" with it -- although I wouldnt have suggested Circuit City, I would have definately taken the Viper alarm over friggen Ungo...

I went to Circuit City and Best Buy and I wasn't pleased with how much they were charging, especially because I needed the power door lock motors. I just took my car to a ghetto place in Santa Ana and had them do it for $160 installed, and I am so happy with it. The shock sensors are incredible. I was wiping off the dust on my rim and the bitch beeped at me. I say sometimes it's good to pay more money for great shit, and other times it's good to go to ghetto places.
