95 Eclipse

Not sure where to put this but this seemed like the logical place.

If i were to sell my 1995 Eclipse GS with the high idle problem, about how much do you think it would go for? everything else is flawless

Re: 95 Eclipse

I've always used KBB to get an estimate and it usually isn't too far off... It probably won't be very much considering the age, mileage and idle problem. Correcting the idle problem before selling it may help bump up the value a little bit.

Re: 95 Eclipse

NADA gives you more closely to dealer quoted prices, because it's based on the National Automotive Dealers Association (hence NADA). KBB is more an "aftermarket" pricing guide, but still quite close.

Take the average from the two of them and let that be your asking price.

Given what you've got off the top of my head...no more than about $2000

Re: 95 Eclipse

Its either a vacuum leak or idle air control valve. But there is way too many variables for us to give you an estimate.

Re: 95 Eclipse

The ECU could also be the problem. Or even a coolant sensor.

Re: 95 Eclipse

If you want to value your car, go on autotrader.com and look and see what they are going for. NADA or KBB can give you an estimate, but I bet you'd get a lot better of an idea if you just looked around craigs list, autotrader.com, cars.com, and the like for an hour.

Re: 95 Eclipse

just based on everything i think its the ECU because we've replaced everything besides that.

My idea was about $1500 and be done with it. I was just askin to see what a good idea would be
