Internals on 1ZZ and 2ZZ

What internals are different in the GT and GTS models? What im trying to get at is, what internals you could change in the 1ZZ to get closer to the power of 2ZZ?

The insides of the 1zz and 2zz are pretty much completely different. As 91 Celica St said, it would be cheaper and easier to just do a 2zz swap.

Your choices are swapping the 2zz in or getting a turbo kit for your 1zz.

I would go with the 2zz swap. The 2zz head flows much much better than the 1zz. It would also be a lot more reliable than a turbo kit. Most stage 1 turbo GT's are putting down close to 200whp and are running similar times as intake/exhaust GT-S's. (mid-low 14's) Some stage 1 GT's are getting more than that.. just depends on your setup.

Hope this helped.

thats a little misleading, theyd be putting down 200 CRANK HP at about 7-8 psi of boost, that would mean about 230 crank if it was 200WH ....basically figure w a 1zzfe youd be getting about 8-11 psi per pound of boost

No, that wasn't a typo. The stage 1 GT kits put out around 200whp.. some just under, some just over.

Re: Internals on 1ZZ and 2ZZ

at how many psi of boost, 5psi of boost would only net you around 190 crank hp and .5 a bar of boost would net about 210 Crank hp

How are you coming up with those figures. 5psi of boost will make different power with different turbos.

People using the GT28R turbo are getting 200-210whp at 9-11psi.

Re: Internals on 1ZZ and 2ZZ

yea like i said 5-7 psi (safe levels) will only get you about 200 crank Hp of course at 11 psi of boost ur guna net over 230 WHP

with almost any turbo charger big or small at 11 pounds of boost your gunna start making alot more Hp than stock

y must you fight me on everything i say, so far all youve done is basically contradicted the shit i say then repeat waht i say about 2 posts later?

Because some of the stuff you say is not true or is just your opinion, and you make people that don't know any better believe you. Don't get me wrong.. you know a lot more than me about the older Celica's and you are a good source of info for it.. but I've see a lot of posts by you about the 7th gens that are completely false... just gets on my nerves. Turbo 1zz's run safely on 11psi with the kkk04 turbo that used to come with the C2 kit. It all depends on what turbo you are using. Example (not real numbers, but just an example) Lets say ur making 220whp on a bigger turbo at 6psi. On a smaller turbo you'd need more boost to get up to the same amount of power....
