Sticking Parking Brake, doesn't release correctly on '97 ETC

I have a '97 ETC w/49k on it and it has been a great car. One thing is the park brake faile to release on ocassion. You can tap the pedal and it releases. Anyone had this problem? Probably the cable just needs a little lubrication.

Try putting it in drive when the parking brake is on. That automaticly releases it.

Re: Sticking Parking Brake, doesn't release correctly on '97 ETC

Got a 96 ETC. Mine did exactly the same thing for a while where it would stick but finally went out completely requiring whole new assembly. If the manual release lever was larger/longer like it was on earlier Cads one could actually use the brake even after the auto release quits. As it is you can't get at it at all easily.
