93 dakota radiator problems
I am having trouble with my radiator leaking on a 93 V8 4X4. I replaced the radiator about 3 months ago, along with the cap due to it cracking after I had turned of the motor on a hot day. It is now starting to leak at the seams after it is turned off. The overflow line is clear and it will fill the reservoir as the motor warms up, but once you turn it off it will overheat and start leaking. The temperature runs normal during operation regaurdless the temperature outside. I have noticed that when the A/C is on high it will heat up more after shutting down the motor. If you have any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 93 dakota radiator problems
you may have a faulty radiator, some radiators are reman'ed. Do a pressure check on your system once it is cool, if it is still leaking from the seams, you have a bad radiator.

I have a 93 with 3.9 v6 my radiator went bad when i replaced i found orignal one was half plastic and was leaking at seam of metal to plastic. I replaced with all metal one not O.E.M but has been working fine for last 5 years. Tempature never over mid range on gauge. Also my orignal radiator only had one row of cooling fins out of three my trusk is sport probaly not same as V8 4x4 . New all metal replacment has all three rows of cooling fins. Mabe you have two material radiator like i did if so highly recommend you replace with all metal one, worked for me.
