Photoetched sawblades: how are they?

Surfed the MCG site and saw photoetched sawblades. Small and finetoothed! But once i was learned that what makes a saw "saw" is that the tooths are slightly bent outwards. But that cant be done in the etching process
So, have any of you used these sawblades? Are they any good? Do they wear out quick? e.t.c. Tell me about`em.

The teeth dont need to be bent out. I found and X-Acto one in my box of junk, and I love it.

Dunno about MCG, but I have some Hasegawa Tritool photo etched sawblades and they are awesome. The saw teeth are simply flat triangular, not bent outwards at all and work perfectly for removing parts or making straight panel lines. They do tend to wear out over time, primarialy as you sometimes need to bend them to get them where you want. After bending you can never get them back perfectly straight again.

i got a set of 4 of airwaves photo etch saws recently and they cut nice and clean just got to take your time and dont rush, the blade gets a bit hot and then starts to bend easy just let it cool for a mo and carry on. as for lasting yet to find out.

Remember to always pull, do not push to cut with them, it's easy to forget and easier to bend or kink them... - Mark
