Over heating
I don't have a problem but know it is talked about much.

What about when it rains. Does the engine compartment get wet? I'm mainly concerned about the electrical things and the computer. Sure would like some "rain water blowin' all under my hood cause I know that'd do my motor good".

The article refers to drip pans. The only vented hood I've looked at on different cars have a baffle/pan that stop the water from coming right in. But if you hit the vents with a hose, I'm sure some would get through.
