A/c

A/C leaks. Can't find where the leak is. Mechanic wants to replace entire system. Can anyone help me locate the leak. Don't know where the lines run in the rear of vehicle.

Re: A/c

Inject some dye in it and use a blacklight. If no results, use a sniffer in the vents, in case the leak is in the evaporator. I'd say your mechanic just wants more money, or doesn't know much about A/C.

Also, what year is it, and how much/how fast is it leaking?
