first off welcome to AF/PH, you will enjoy your stay here with us.

second it sounds as though you want to put a cd player where your tape deck is currently, very easy switch. other than the deck you will need a wiring harness for your vehicle, generally supplied at the same place you get the cd player, or any stereo shop should carry it. From there its just simple color to color wiring, and voila you have a cd system.

as for your speakers, if they are not playing to your potential just replace them, a new set of speakers can run anywhere from $35 - $1500 for a set of 2 speakers, so get what you like and can afford.

im sure as the days pass, more people will assist you in this area and any other questions you may have with your accord.

Enjoy.
