raced: 3-series, SRT-4, Nissan NX. small video included

I was back in town from friday to yesterday (saturday), so i decided to take the GTI out for a little drive.

First kill was a really old 3-series (e30) who followed me onto the highway. He was accelerating forward then letting off and repeating the sequence. He kept doing this for like a mile until i decided to shift down to third (i was going around 60), and tear him a new one. He dissapeared really quickly, and never caught back up.

The second race was against a red srt-4 w/black rims, tinted windows, big mufflers, and a nice sounding BOV. He was in the lane next to me when I got off the highway, and we were both pacing eachother for a long time. traffic was really heavy, so it was difficult for us to find a clear stretch of road. but, just as i was about to give up, we both caught a red light. I revved, he revved and the race was on. On green, i launched really well (little wheelspin) while he was roasting his tires (horrible launch-sounded like he revved it to redline and dropped the clutch). I got a good car length on him through first, but as i shifted into second i saw him out of the corner of my eye. in second, he went from being 1cl back to being 1/2 a car ahead. i shut it down midway through third when he was bout 1 1/2 cars ahead and still pulling strong. i caught up, and we exchanged thumbs up before he turned onto another road.

the last race wasn't really a race. there was some kid (looked 16) in a nissan nx w/a loud exhaust (probably a busted muffler) who took off when I was behind him at the light. I nailed it and flew past him. i wanted to play around, so i shifted into 5th @ 50 and gave it 3/4 throttle. he was 2 cars back and we kept going for about a 1/8mi and he couldn't get close . when he let off he was a good 1 1/2 cl's back. he had to go to some store, so he cut across two lanes, and braked hard into the turning lane. the idiot almost rear ended the car infront of him. slowest race of my life. i was telling my passenger to video tape it, but he couln't get his camera ready in time.

nissan nx:

the last item is a small 2mb video that my passenger made w/o telling me. i needed to pass a car when we were getting through traffic, so a gave it a bit of throttle in second. it shows me accelerating from 3000 to about 5500rpm. this wasn't full throttle, but it was more than 3/4 (to be exact)

click option one, then click the button that says here. then click open or save (depeneding on your preferences) to begin downlaod.

i have also enclosed some pics of my car for all of the memebrs who havent seen it. i took the car domain link off of my sig b/c it couldn't fit w/the quote.

Nice looking GTI and it seems you had a good time. Nice kills, keep it up. Are you stock or modded?

thanks guys, i'm one mod away from being stock. i have a GIAC chip, and I used to have a centerforce clutch. Surprisingly, the clutch was starting to slip, so I decided to go back to stock. I hope to do more mods (considering a custom CAI), but, at the moment, I want to focus my attention on my other car.

infiniti g35:

qr25, the nx wasn't that slow...then again, i should probably stop bs-ing, or i'll get banned im kidding, it was probably a shitty driver in an old car. must have been the 110hp version.

Could have been the 1.6 liter. A 2.0 would give a much better fight. I know I'm a nissan nazi but nice kills.

Yeah nice car!! VW's have such amazingly high build qualities. I mean, laser welding, wtf is that? Sounds very NASA to me :P
