Re: engine miss at high revs?
did you check to see if you are running lean/rich?? did you check your fuel pump, lines, filter?? check all vaccuum lines and sensors. check to make sure the timing is correst my 99 is 16 degrees before TDC (Top Dead Center) hope this helps

Re: engine miss at high revs?
Sounds like you are running rich. Do you habe an aftermarket ignition? Typically that ends up as a distributor problem on the obd0 Tegs.
Test the fuel mixture (depending on the age of the plugs, they may not show much), the disty (more than likely the culprit), and then try lowering the fuel pressure a bit. Other things to consider: leaking injectors fuel pump main fuel relay Plug wires Good luck! |

i did check the fuel lines and they are all clear. i don't have an aftermarket ignition but was planning on running a msd 6 ignition. checked the plugs and they are all liike a lbrown color. now when i pulled the plug nearist the distributor it did have a lil oil on it. and i checked my computer it is also givein me a code 10 which in alldata says it is my air intake temp. so i went and checked it and it was snipped and the wires ran to the underside of the intake so i reran them to the sensor and reset the ecu and then it went out for like 3 mins and was back with the same code. So what is my next move?

Re: engine miss at high revs?
I would consider replacing it. The wires may have been cut to avoid other problems by a novice mechanic. There is a slew of things it could be. You will litterally have to go step by step checking them all I suppose. It is hard to diagnose a problem you are nto there to see. i hate to overlook something minor and lead you in the wrong path;hence, i try only to suggest a few things that could pertain to your situation. Do you have a helms manual? If not, i recomend purchasing one, they are a huge help. I have several and I use them on all the hondas I work on.
It is quite simply put, the honda bible |

all right i figured what it was i went threw a puddles and then my motor shut off so i figured i suck water into the intake so i let it sit for 5 mins and its starts and well lets just say i know need a motor for it plus i think the wire harness is screwed up on the one i have now so my question is a do i replace moter in this one or do i get either a 91 crx si wit the sir motor and turbo wit 5 spd or a 93 civic 2 dr coupe wit the sir motor turbo. either one of them is a quick car but i also want some dependable stuff tho.
