Post rear window defogger

does anyone have any knowledge with regard to the soldering procedures on the rear window? the pigtails have become corroded and
disconnected. i,ve tried the normal procedures but cannot get the contacts hot enough to tin. does it require removing the contacts first?

Re: rear window defogger

check out this web page.
http://www.frostfighter.com/ff_press.htm
Parts stores might have what you want too.

I got that web page by simply typing in
fixing automotive rear window defrost
In Google. There are plenty of more web pages listed there too.

thank you for the info. this appears to be the solution i need but would also say that a good silver solder is more consistant with the oem design.
