1 Kill,One loss in the Cherokee

I got to drive my moms 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited edition with the H.O 4.7L Powertech V8 to work today because the Stangs in the bodyshop(bumper bender...long story). Well after work a friend and i was cruising lookin for some trouble and sure enough we came upon a low 90's Chevy Cavilier Z34...I paid no attention to it at first, but after the red light turned green the Z34 took off normal then floored it..I heard him floor it because i had the sunroof open and as soon as he matted it i mashed the gas...Were were even for like 1-3 seconds and i finally killed him by at least 3-4 car lengths.....Later in the night i took the ramp back down Route 3. and noticed a BMW Coupe ahead of me and i went for a closer looks by speeding up.....It was a mid 90's M3 and i wanted to see what it could do...i passed him several times..he had two other people in the car and each time i allowed him to catch up....i tryed once more time to entice him and the took the bait...blowing by me at least going 130MPH........ god i wish i had my stepdads car it would of been an awesome race( 04'Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG)

Re: 1 Kill,One loss in the Cherokee

nice. i had a 98 cherokee with a lightly modded 5.9 (360) and it was AWD with some sticky 18's. I could launch at 4000 rpm and never spin a tire. I NEVER was beat off the line by anything on the street

Re: 1 Kill,One loss in the Cherokee

Just out of curiousity, if your mom has the 04 V8 Cherokee, and your dad has an 04 Merc CLK55 why did you get stiffed with the V6 Stang? Family sounds pretty well off, but you get the shotty car.

Well, good kill and death in the Cherokee. I've raced a few back when I had I/E and they easily made work of me with no problems. I'd like to race one now with my new mods to see how I do. L8...

ALways been a fan of the LM cherokees. Back in the day they used to be one of the quickest SUV's. I remember reading an article in Off-Road magazine where they got a 15 flat out of one. Good kills/death

Back when I got my first car my mom had a ML (Mercedes SUV, with the big engine and fully loaded) and my dad had an SL600. I got a Rav4...

cherokee's are for real.

yeah, my family has a 2002 grand cherokee, high output 4.7 v8, and it is amazing off the line, so much traction it's unbelievable. beats my 1990 super coupe, but only off the line.

Re: 1 Kill,One loss in the Cherokee

ah but you fail to see my mom gave me 2500 dollars to match my 2500 dollars so i could go car shopping..Now i got the car when i turned 16 so iam pretty lucky that i got Mustang because all my other friends got 10 year old hand-me down Volvos and old Nissans...I got the "flashiest" look of the group so i consider myself luckily. At the time of the purchase i didnt know about Mustang GT's..all i wanted was to get a car(i was gonna get an old 91' Integra).Of course i have grown tired of my puny V6 poser Stang,So iam most likely going to get a 99' Mustang def 5-speed

parents i think are less giving to their children if your family is well off. My family is pretty well off and my parents dont give me shit. Never have never will, they wont even pay for my college. . .

No one can pay for my college, my car, my insurance, my gas, or my clothes. I wasn't able to get anything till I got a job, and then I had to use all my money for that to start getting the stuff. It's not that poor parents are more giving they just can't afford to give it in the first place. Trust me there is NO downside to having parents with money.

If I was loaded I would make my kids pay for everything themselves too. Having some spoilt brat around the house would be aweful. It's character building stuff - I'd bet good money that you're a much better person now than if your parents handed everything to you.

Back on topic: nice death -- 'cause I like it when M3's rape stuff
