What car to save for ?

i can't insure turbo charged cars so that means i am carless i got 1 year and a half to save some money for a car

which means around 6 grand to spend on a car

WHAT CAR SHOULD I GET ?

don't forget this is in a years time so prices should be down some more (HOPEFULLY)

i'm thinkin 180SX those are like 3000 pounds
or a 200SX but those are more expensive alot more going from 6 - 10 (face lift version_)

so i dunno and a skyline R32 GTR is 9 grand at the moment so you think that would drop value like a ton?

Well i dont know pounds but my friend has the same problem but hes got more time (why 1 year?) any ways my friend is going to get a car with no motor shells are like 1 or 2 grand US that is depending on how nice the inside is then he is buying a 500 and somthing Hp motor for somthing like $3900 it all should cost him around $6,000 NOT incuding mods. Now thats more ponys than a skyline or what ever (not to dis skylines i love them to) the only problem with this idea is reliabilty if you know what your doing or you have some one help you who does than you should not have to much or a problem.

Im asuming your planing to street race?

there isn't much for competition so not really unless you count the only dodge viper in town i doubt he races the only people who race are these stupid French hatchbacks and they suck A$$

1 year till i am twenty one and till i have money

insurance won't insure me for a 200SX till i am 21

not many people will insure me for a Civic Si .......... i had no penalties convictions nothing my record is as clean as a white sheet in a nunery or whatever

just england sucks i want a RX7 3rd gen but it seems they are still keeping their value

yea but its a GTR......who cares if it can drift, use it for zero-yon or wangan runs, but a beat up daily driver FR to learn on.

The RX-7 is nice, that is the 1st car I wanted, but the RB is a whole lot more stable and a ton more power is capable out of it. Plus if u got the V-Spec II with the ATTESA ETS PRO it would be RWD most of the time.

If you're good enough, you can drift a R32. I've seen people drift R33s and R34s.

True, but a 4WD drift requires power drifting, and it's hard on the tires. Tires aren't cheap.

I would suggest an interim car, something like an 86 that you can pick up for really cheap, ratbag and drift, and sell it for a little less than what you paid for it. Check all the police and bank auctions, see if you can buy a repossesed Trueno for 500 pounds or something! You never know, you might be able to find a GT APEX for a thousand...

No Trueno! Sweet jesus, man, sweet jesus! Not even a Hachi Go?

That doesn't leave many choices then, does it! I'll try to find some good cars to suggest...

Do they have older 200sx S12s in England? If so, I'd suggest one of those, or an old audi coupe quattro, or an old escort RS

How about an MR2? They are nice little cars, and with a 4AGE, they don't qualify for displacement taxes...

The problem with a RS is that it's turbocharged

How about a Ford Capri? With the 2.3 liter, they are pretty rippy cars... you can always turbo one later, with factory parts...

Capri has no credability

MR2 Turbo might be good i looked in Max Power they reckon you can get one for about 3200 so it would be a direct contender if i don't make it to 6 or more grand ya know! the 180SX is 3200 as well i think i like the Nissan more tho .... i dunno see what i do i got ages yet till i can buy one to insure ........ actually i can get a N/A MR2 and insure that they aren't bothered about N/A cars .... hmmmm
