Transmission Noise

98 RS A/T When I shift into drive or reverse I hear a clicking noise while it is shifting into gear. Is this normal or do I need to have it looked at? Any Suggestions?

I have a 96 RS and it does it too. My brother in law is a Chrysler tech. and he said it is the TCU firing solenoids in the trans. to see if they work. He said it alot more professionally than that. Thats the best I can remember. Its been awhile ago since I asked him. He didn't act like it was to big of a deal. Try calling Mitsubishi Service at a local dealer. They might be helpful. As for me I'm not concerned about it.
