Ok guys...let's say you're driving the manual 95 GSX down the road.. you let off the gas allowing the engine to slow down the car...and you here this "grmbmmrr grrrrr chunch...." as its slowing down...sometimes it sounds like it is coming from the back, sometimes the front. Personally, I think it's the muffler... and I will be getting a rice muffler tomorrow.. (no money for a catback yet...) I took it to a garage that really did a crappy job....I won't even explain that.. and they were really really stupid... BUT they said it was the transmission...... I don't think it is..Could it be the transfer cases?? The one in the rear maybe?

Have any of you with the sticks....I don't nkwo if anyone in here has a manual 95 GSX...but if you do has this ever happened???

I found ONE junkyard that has a great transmission I could buy for $700....dealership couldn't find a single one...But I don't know if my transmission is 21 22 or 23 splice or whatver...how do I find that out???

I'm asking two questions...sorry...but I don't know what to do and I am supposed to drive to atlanta for spring break in 6 days...will the car make it??

Car has 87k on it...
