i have posted many times about my truck but still having trouble lol.. its an 88 s-10 manual 2.5l.. it wont start or stay running if it does start i changed filters plugs wires distributor check pressure voltage compression starter replaced chips under dist. cap.. now i pulled the gas tank off to replace the already new gas pump and noticed the ground wire was just dangling there.. when i drove it, it jus stoped geting gas and stalled .. im hoping thats it after ia laready spent 500 in tryin to find the rite part i need.. problem is now )if this is whats gona solve my problem) when i took the part off that holds the pump in the tank(forget what its called), the clamp broke. garages say i can only buy the whole part for 140 can. to get the clap which is all i need. does any1 thihkn i can get this clamp anyway else? also if any1 has or knows where to get a good shaped regular sized bed for this truck let me no please. i would like to find out things i can do to this truck as it is a project truck any1 who has ideas or info u think i should no would really b a help thanks.

Wow, I'm sorry but I believe period's would have made that easier to read. I think a local junkyard would be a good choce. Any more opinions?

hey sorry bout the typing i was in class and had to hurry up and type it. if there was anything you werent clear about just ask. the junk yard was my first option but i didnt wana have to go through the trouble of pulling off tanks from random trucks hoping the clamp is good. any clamp that is as old as mine will look the same and its a pretty good size job to be guessing. you gotta jack it up, pull the clamps and hoses off.. thats if there not rusted on like mine was lol.. thanks for the info tho i might just have to do that... also i wana put subs in my truck.. its a reg size cab so theres VERY little room. i was thinking either cut the box to make a triangle and glue the back of it right to the wall behind the seats (the metal) but i dont think that would be smart lmao. i think i will just make my own box to fit my 2 10 inchers. iv made a box before and turn out like it was boghten so im not worried bout that. any opinions on that? maybe a little heads up? anyone else got subs? thanks

Think you should call up a few junkyards and ask them what years of trucks they have, and then ask a parts store if those years have the same clamp as yours (same part numbers and such). Or maybe someone on the forums knows. On the subject of subs, I believe there was a thread started a short while back named "subs in standard s10" that may be informative.
